Welcome To Saint John's Church

Welcome to Saint John’s Episcopal Church, Getty Square in Yonkers!  We are an historic church with roots that go back over 325 years, worshipping in a magnificent stone building dating from 1872 that incorporates part of our 1752 structure.  We stand on the shoulders of those who have come before us who blessed this land and the city of Yonkers as people of faith.

We are a diverse congregation, including people who are American-born, as well as people who have immigrated from Antigua, Barbados, Belize, Gambia, Haiti, India, Ireland, Jamaica and the Philippines, among others.  We are gay, straight, transgender, young, old, married, single, working, retired, unemployed, homeless and everything else.  This is a loving and kind community that strives to be the body of Christ in Getty Square.

Please visit us to enjoy the beauty and history of this building with its magnificent stained glass windows, and please let us know if you would like more information about what it means to be a Christian, about how to join this congregation, or if you would just like someone to pray with you during a difficult time.
